Affordable Jazz and The Bristol Flamingo Club bring Gypsy Jazz at its finest…

Out of towner Piotr is joined by local Manouche artists to put on a show of Gypsy jazz numbers, made famous by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli.

Born and growing up behind the Iron Curtain in Poland, Piotr has been fascinated by sound and music from very early on and soon started learning to play violin. Educated first in the classical music tradition his musical interests soon expanded. Since then Piotr has enjoyed a varied freelance career exploring Celtic, Balkan, Gypsy jazz and other traditions of fiddle music.

Piotr believes in bringing diverse music to audiences in informal settings and always enjoys playing music for its original purpose – partying and dancing!
