Eleanor Rose is an illustrator and printmaker based in Bristol. Originally from Somerset, she studied at the University of the West of England, receiving a first-class undergraduate degree in Illustration in 2023, and is now represented by the Artworks Illustration Agency.
Eleanor’s work combines traditional relief printmaking with digital editing and colouring to create a visual language which is simultaneously traditional and modern. Her work often explores themes of nature and sustainability, with a particular focus on bringing attention to the beauty of her surroundings. Her immediate and eye-catching style has made her work popular with publishers and brands alike.
For this exhibition, Eleanor is showing a range of original lino prints, and digital prints which are created by scanning in lino prints and digitally colouring. Her prints depict local scenes, from independent businesses such as the Society Cafe and Roots Florists, to Somerset countryside.
Eleanor sells both her original lino prints and digitally coloured prints in markets and shops across Bristol, such as the Tobacco Factory Sunday Market, Windmill Hill Market, as well as Windmill Hill’s Makers Shop, and in Sparks Bristol with Culla Collective.
