An evening of psychedelic and post-punk rock with Trans Siberian Express

Trans Siberian Express is a six-piece band from Bristol that plays psychedelic and post-punk music. The band is known for their song “Run From The Skin Which Binds Us”, which was commissioned by a mental health charity and a creative agency at the University of the West of England. The song was written by Louis de Schynkel, a filmmaking graduate from the university, and is about the restrictions men put on themselves.

Karen Swan  (singer songwriter)

– Karen Swan is an enigma, famously not the well published author, Karen’s soaring vocals paired with haunting lyrics have the ability to transport you to a wonderland of joy and strength. Weaving seamlessly between the avant-garde, folk, alternative rock with a sprinkle of punk attitude, Karen is unique and we are honoured to have her play for us alongside the incredible pyrotechnic mandolin and mandola player Carl Phillip Louis.

Hoop Girl (hoola hoopin’)

– FUN FUN FUN, Hoop Girl skills with a hoop are unparalleled, marvel and smile at what will be another incredible performance by a Bristol icon.

Toby Whirl (comedian)

– A fresh face on the comedy scene (and what a dashing face it is), adorned with a moustache, Toby is the next best thing in comedy. Surreal and relatable, Toby will guarantee to make you laugh. Watch him now before you have to pay out of pocket for it.

The Scuttlers

– One of the 7 wonders of the world they are. A true spectacle to witness live, they could be calm or crazy but I can guarantee that they will keep you transfixed as they blend folk, math rock, post punk and avant-garde.

Trans Siberian Express

– An odd 6 piece, imposing odd dance moves. The Schwank Splurge-pop party starters who aren’t afraid of a didgeridoo. Come see the only band to have been described as ‘good if you like trains’ or ‘great in a moving lift’ and enjoy the journey through Siberia.
