Ripley is an illustrator and paper engineer whose work centres on storytelling inspired by nature, history and culture.  She loves folklore and fairytales and letting her imagination run wild through the infinite tangle of stories that weave through the history of our world. Drawn to the overlooked and underrepresented, she highlights forgotten historical narratives and brings lost and fascinating stories of the natural world back into artistic focus. She focuses on creating picturebooks, comics, zines, novels, and interactive books. To make her illustrations she combines traditional watercolour painting with digital collage.
