‘Sound Investment’ is a weekly Tuesday live music night hosted by Allie and Phil Dunnington intended to support both independent music venues and musicians who have been affected by the pandemic, all whilst attempting to raise over £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer. These gigs take place on Tuesday nights in our Hold Bar.

Bookings can be made either by emailing events@grainbarge.com, or booking a table on the website. Guests should select a time of between 6pm-7pm, and select the ‘Sound Investment’ option to be allocated a table. The entry fee is £15 per head (CASH ONLY), 100% of which is donated to the chosen charity of Macmillan Cancer. Our first gig raised a total of £450, so we are hoping to far exceed our target, all whilst enjoying some incredible live music from some of the best musicians Bristol has to offer!

Hodmadoddery

Hodmadoddery (hodmadoddery.co.uk) are a 21 year strong folk duo from Bath. Their repertoire is particularly special, drawing inspiration from the folk traditions of England, Scotland and Ireland, with a particular emphasis on the traditional music of the Celtic countries and the rural parts of England, with additions from the Celtic diaspora, plus a handful of contemporary songs from those same regions (including the US) that fall happily into the same mood. . We are excited to welcome Tony and Steve on board for a special edition of ‘Sound Investment.’
